The Organic Food Association (OFA) is a non-profit organisation that works to promote and support sustainable food production and consumption through the provision of organic food products and products in support of the food supply chain.
The organisation’s main focus is on the sustainable sourcing of food by promoting organic food production by: organically growing, processing and harvesting food from non-traditional sources, including locally-sourced foods, as well as sustainable production practices that minimise land, water and energy use and minimise environmental impact.
The organisation is a member of the Sustainable Food and Farming Council, and its members include: The Food Industry Association (FIA), The Organic Food Institute (OFI), Food Alliance (FOI), Bourbon Institute of Ireland, The British Organic Food and Wine Council, UK Organic Food Council and Organic Food Alliance.
The organic detox product list is a work in progress, with more products on the way, and the OFA is working with a number of suppliers to offer their products.
According to the organisation’s website, “The Organic Health & Wellbeing Project (OHWP) is the largest organisation dedicated to the use of organic foods as part of a holistic health plan for all people.
We are also a member of the Organically Responsible Consumer Campaign (ORCC) and the Co-ordinated Health & Nutritional Education Network (CHON).”
